How Many Points To Get Extremely Past Due Account Current?

Embarrassingly, I am currently 120 days past due on a student loan (they told me it would be in deferment, then came back later to say that I didn't qualify for this or forebearance).

I plan to pay a large sum (roughly $1800) this month to get the account back to current status.  Any ideas or estimations on how much this will raise my credit score by getting this out of a severly past due status?

Probably not a lot if the 120 day late stays on your CR.  I suggest a GW letter

I had a student loan that was 30 days late several years ago and when I brought it up to date my score came up 30-40 points if memory serves correctly

I am with the 30 to 40 points if it is reporting "past Due"

PAst Due with the late gets a double wammy-
