Mine are very close to each other.  Cap One has me at 693 and my real TU FICO is 815.

So do you think the hard inquiry on the credit cards is worth the risk?

Not at all.

I'd encourage you to get your real scores first and then decide.  620 is borderline and if your FICO scores are a lot lower it is not worth it right now.  On the other hand, if they are higher, go for it.

Re: How big of a hit to my score?

My Credit Tracker score is 638 but my TU Fico is around 680. CT and Credit Karma are way off. Credit Sesame, for me, is a bit closer but still not accurate. My EX Fico is around 700 and Credit Sesame is 688.

Agreed.

EDIT: I will likely just take a large interest rate on my auto loan and stop sweating over it. Refinance after 6 months or a year and go from there.  If any one has any tips to get me further up that would be great.

I must have missed 2 collections that are still open on medical bills.  Hopefully once I pay those Monday that has a positive effect for me.

Go for the amazon store card. Maybe you can qualify for Discover chrome, student version. Others can chime in.

Re: How big of a hit to my score?

Paying your collections to $0 will not have a positive effect on your scores. You should try a PFD and that will definitely help.
