How did this happen?

Ok so I have the free trial of Scorewatch.....which I am impressed with so far. Well today I get an e-mail saying my score went up by +33 points and that an account balance had increased by a 100 bucks. Nothing much, but you would think of an account balance goes up wouldn't the score go down? It clearly states making the balance go up can lower your score, but it went up +33 points...lol. Fine with me, just thought it was odd. -David

Re: How did this happen?

I know it sounds odd, but from reading all the posts in this forum, I am always hearing the theme from "The Twilight Zone", and Rod Serling's voice in my head as I read the posts.

Was the balance previously $0? Did the CL rise as well?

Nope it wasn't 0..it was like 150 and then went to 250....and not the credit line didn't increase that I am aware of.

Re: How did this happen?

Did a CL have a birhday?  Did a baddie have a birthday?  Did an inq get to be a year old?

All those can have agood effect

And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: How did this happen?

Hmmm none of those I am sure of...I would have to look into it a little more. But goodness a CL, or a baddie, or an inq be a year old have that much impact to raise it +33 points? Pretty sure it's not a baddie. Could be a CL maybe...would have to look and confirm.

Re: How did this happen?

For me, EQ hates inqs.

when my baddies have a birthday, it can help my score a little??

That would be great I have some baddies turning 6 soon.

They become a year older on their birthday, as far as I can tell.  And every year helps a little.

And same with accounts, as far as I can tell.  They increase the average age of your accounts on their birthday.  And I think every little helps cumulatively.
