How do scores on MyFico compare to lender pull scores?

About a month ago I pulled my credit score from MyFico and my Experian score was a 603. I applied for a mortgage that same day and the lender came back wtih my Experian score as a 603 for him as well. Is this a coincidence or are MyFico scores that accurate? I just got a score watch alert today that my score went up from 603 to 618 but I don't want to get too excited - I really need my score to get to 620 before I close on my mortgage in 45 days. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi there.

I assume you meant to type Equifax because Experian FICO scores have not been available here since 2/2009.

The EQ score you get here should be the same version (Beacon 5.0) as your lender pulled.

From a BK years ago to:
EX - 9/09 pulled by lender 802, EQ - 10/10-813, TU - 10/10-774

MyFICO Equifax is a Beacon 5.0

My mortgage lender pulled my reports and my Equifax FICO there was also a Beacon 5.0

And, of course, the two scores were identical.

Gotta love it!
