I’m looking for some data about Equifax mortgage score factors. Equifax has been my lowest score on almost all versions of FICO. The exception being FICO 9 where it is my highest score. I have a BK7 that was filed on 03/28/2016 and dc’d 07/08/2016. The BK is the only negative on my reports. When I look at my score reason codes on myFICO Equifax has always listed “Recent collection and/or PR” as a reason code. It also lists “Collection and/or PR” as do Experian and Transunion but Equifax is the only one with the “Recent collection and/or PR” reason. So my question is how long do they consider something recent? Obviously this has been hurting my score which I believe is the reason that my Equifax scores are lower than the others. I’m 4 years past filing and almost 4 years past dc so I’d think it’s not really recent anymore. Does anyone know how long Equifax considers things recent?
Current scores:
8-
EQ 716
Tran 722
Exp 733
Mortgage-
EQ 684
Tran 716
Exp 694
9-
EQ 775
Tran 758
Exp 759
Just to try and help with some DPs from me for EQ. I have COs, not a BK, but we are both in a dirty scorecard. My reason codes do not throw any "recency" warnings about 3 year old settled COs. So, my guess is that the reason is specific to a PR (BK?) and we are in different segments of the dirty scorecard.
Hopefully someone who had a BK can report when that recent reason code dropped for them.
Good luck!

FICO 8 = 715, 711, 720 / Mortgage = 688, 696, 681
Hmm. I honestly have no idea. I can't remember if my previous reports had "recent" on them. I'll dig up my EX CWP history later and see if it shows up on there. It could just be your particular scorecard and if that's the case, it's not going away until you get assigned a new one would be my guess.
It's annoying trying to go through the archive on mobile but I didn't see one "recent" reason code going back to January 2019. My guess is it's just a scorecard factor.
