@Red1Blue When you open a new revolver, at least 4 things can affect score:
1. if your youngest revolver is 12+ months, it resets AoYA and you go through scorecard reassignment (you are re-bucketed). You lose ~10-25 points on FICO 8 depending on the scorecard you are coming from. These definitely are not fully recovered on FICO 8 until the youngest revolver (includes charge cards and LOCs) again hits 12 months (EQ is known to act funny);
2. may affect AAoA, if a threshold is passed;
3. HP ding (if not binned);
4. If utilization is affected to such a point where a threshold is crossed.
You should get all your AoYA points back by 12 months and there is uncertainty whether the awards at 3 and 6 months of account age are from AoYA or time passing without delinquency on new accounts. I believe the latter.
For those unaware of how AoYA works, there are great threads if you will search AoYA, AOYRA, scorecard reassignment, bucketing.
Edited for accuracy. 4/7/20. I had accidentally wrote "not" in the paragraph before the last.
