How long will a late payment have a adverse affect on my score? was late on 2 cc each on 3/07, 4/07 and was late on mortgage 6/07, 7/07.

and at what point will it start to diminish?

I figure they are almost 2 years old, not sure if it is worth writing a gw letter or not.

Were they just for 30 days, or were any 60-days or worse? Lates do stay on for 7 years, fading as they go, but they're there. If they're serious lates, they affect your score bucket, and that will definitely hold down your scores until they're gone.

For 30's, their impact has faded, but since they're on multiple accounts, that does hurt you. Worth the 41 cents for the stamp on a GW, I would think.
