The damage fades over time. A 11-month old inquiry does not carry the same weigh as one added yesterday, assuming there was any damage from the inquiry to begin with. Now some in here have seen gains at 12 months but it wasn't due to the inquiry, but due to their newest TL hitting a year. I've personally seen gains a couple of different times.
Ok that's great to hear. I can't wait fof my TL's to hit a year. Right now I have 4 inquiries and 4 TL's that are 2 months away from a year status.
how long did it take you to go from the 500 to 800?

A couple years or so.
I don't like that the "MyFicoFinessChallenge" scores are not verified and are just self inputed. Someone with very low scores could simply put that they have high scores and give others advice. Just something to think about.. Hmm, let's see how high I'd like my scores to be...LOL!
If you don't mind me asking what is your credit limit on most of those credit cards and at what % do you keep the balance?
