Re: I got a 751 TU FICO!!!!

Now that you're comfortably cruising in happy-to-be-700+land, have you considered pulling your tu scores on myfico?  How do they compare to your creditkarma?  (Or is your TU score from myfico??? I could be confused on your post).  That would be way good to know.

Congratulations on all your hard work!!!

Where I live I can call the CC's office, give them my name and pick it up that day or they will mail it.

I am not sure I follow you. I pulled my FICO score from my Fico because of my 722 FAKO on creditkarma. Prior to that pull, I was already a 703 FICO on TU (on CreditKarma, I had 675-677 depending on what my individual CC balance was). I know that CK uses the same FAKO algorithm as TC when I used them when they used to be a daily puller. I was never a 700 FAKO on the TC algorithm. When I saw that I was on CK, I had to pull my TU FICO to see what that was. When I did, I was definitely grinning from ear to ear, and then even happier when EQ finally broke the 700 barrier. When I meant I was happy to be in 700+ land, I meant my FICOs that I got here, not the FAKOs.

Did that make sense?

Is CC (County Clerk)? If so, I think what I have to do in my case (I'm in NJ) is go to the County's Record department, show my lien release from the IRS and pay whatever to have it recorded or something to that effect. I have to call them and be sure. If I can't find my lien release, I'll have to call the IRS again and have them remail it to me. I know I have it somewhere in my file cabinet, I just have to look hard. I definitely have time tonight so I'll do it. Then once I have it in hand, I'll give the county a call (I no longer live in that county, but I'm only a couple towns over from that county's seat...LOL). I'm just pissed that's it's even on my report to begin with.

AA,

The fact that it's been paid is already noted. CC= County Clerk . You don't have to pay to have it recorded, as I said it's already recorded. You don't have to pay to record it, it's already recorded. No need to call IRS, the CC has a copy on file, and they might charge you $5-10 for a copy. I wouldnt get upset it's just a clerical error. Keep your cool and you'll get what you want. Good Luck

I think I meant the "something to that effect" to mean that I get a copy of the record from the CC. What's happening though is that my Tax Lien was paid before it ever showed up on my reports. I had some tax payment issues, but had made the deal with the IRS to make monthly payments. All the while, I had this lien that I didn't know about. I had tried to get the IRS to remove it but they basically gave me the finger and told me we have your money, we don't have to do anything. LOL.

I will call the CC and see what they say. They should still be open.

That limit of $2900 was only because I call them every 90 days to give me my "Guidline Increase." Do you call them every 90 days? Though lately, I think they are telling me in not so many words that it's going to be 6 months for me. They have really been discouraging me from continuing the practice, even though I have never gone near the limit. Even when it was initially $100. I think they're APR is like 26% or something crazy like that, so I make sure I PIF that guy. I had initially thought I might make it to "Elite" status with them, but it looks like I will be staying a happy Platinum level member.

Give them a call and see if they'll hook you up.

My card is a baby newbie.  But I have big letters on the folder to remind me to "CALL EVERY 90 DAYS".  I'm hoping my new 1,000 CL will become a big boy like yours.  (I hope I get my TU up to 751, also!)

Re: I got a 751 TU FICO!!!!

If you are a platinum level purchaser don't be put off by an attitude when you call Macy's for a GLI. They get stickier as you move to higher limits but will do it for you since you are a very active customer. Pay no heed to their noise whatsoever.
