and why does that happen?

As soon as an inquiry crosses over a year of age, it stops being counted for scoring purposes. It remains on your report for up to another year but FICO disregards it.

Thanks. Give it a couple of weeks to a month and yours will be a regular too. 

Now we both just need our mortgage and 8/9 scores abode 800. Then it's SMOOTH SAILIN'
