I have two credit cards. One is a Capital One $3000 credit card and the other is an HSN $500. Every month I have a $50 balance which I pay off on my Capital One card. I havent used my HSN card from (Last payment received on 01/05/2015 $58.01) and now have a zero balance. My fico score says I have a (Balance percent decrease of 14 points) because of my HSN zero balance. Someone told me I can have two credit cards and not use one (at zero balance) and not have it reduce my credit score. I dont understand what happened. What can I do to raise my credit score again and do I always have to have a balance on both cards?

1 and 2 cards is a little awkward, but yes, if you have the monitoring play with it a bit for various reported balances on one or both cards. Are you certain that right now you have 1 balance reporting non-zero and 1 reporting zero? If both are reporting zero that's a ding regardless... something to double-check.
Utilization doesn't have any memory so it's recoverable within a month, not that it really matters unless you are applying for something anyway... and in your case I'd certainly consider getting one more card.
That doesn't really answer my question, maybe I need a different moderator. I have one credit card at zero and the other at $50. Then why is my fico score minus 14 points. What happens when you have one credit card at zero balance. I would think getting another credit card would get me into the same problem.
Are you sure the 14 point drop is in your FICO score and not your utilization percentage?
Yes it states (balance amount decrease and balance percent decrease -14 points)ACCOUNT BALANCE
$58 $0 Comenity Capital/HSN. I just need to know if my FICO score will continue to lose points next month.
What was your FICO last month, and what is it currently?

If you dont use one card at all, 1. Your score can drop due to inactivity in the account. 2. Your creditor can close your account, depending on the creditor.
Try to report at least 1$ on both your cards.
It has gone -14 points from 654 to 640.
I have had this HSN card for 6 months and now have it at a zero balance and have always made payments on time. How can I cancel this card without it impacting my credit score?

ts a very bad idea to cancel an account, the more credit you have, the more creditors will feel you are risk-free, and also consider Util.
Dont cancel, this is just my opinion.
