Ditto what Debtisgood said.

How are your credit scores? If the creditors aren't spooked  by something in your files you might be able to get some credit limit increases. If you make great large payments over a period of time and don't substantially reduce your balances, would that mean that you are making great large charges? In that case you might be considered a good customer by the banks and they might give you the CLIs. Having less than 30% utilization certainly is not risky behavior. Higher credit limits with the same balances would generate utilization even lower than what you have now.

I would love it if the scoring formulas would use the unpaid balance remaining by the due date. But imagine what it would take to get the creditors to report this correctly!

Say you have a $200 balance post on your statement on the 5th. The due date is the 20th. Between the 5th and the 20th, you put another $300 in charges, and you pay $100 of the original $200 balance. So on the 20th, you would have $400 showing, but only $100 of it would be the unpaid balance.

What do you think the odds are that the creditors would correctly and consistently report the correct $100 figure, instead of $400? *shudders*

I think they should post the amount you paid interest on. That's already calculated on your statement, so no extra math would be needed. (Average Daily Balance, excluding new purchases if no interest was paid).

Re: I pay all my cards off every month but the FICO system doesn't know it

my scores are TU-630 EX-668 EQ-705, but now i dont trust it! I thought they were the true scores, but now i see some may not be FICO, i have to go back and investigate (tommorrow) No, theres no bankruptsis or derrogatories except an old med bill, income is up, debt to income good, i just need to refi Sallie Mae, she wont without a score of 650, the 630 from TU isnt high enough, and now I dont know what to believe on my reports as far as the scores. Any advice on a reliable FICO source, and on Refi Sallie Mae- would sooo appreciated.
