I recently called a ca to inquire about a collection that was supposed to be deleted from the cb per the original creditor. The item has been deleted. The problem that I now have is that when I called to inquire about the deletion they told me about another debt that I had from 2002 in the amount of 500.00. I know what the item is but I always thought that it was already on my credit report. Much to my surprise it is currently not on my credit report. However, I did tell the lady that it was already on my cb and that paying it would do no good to my fico score. Should I call them back and try to prevent them from putting it on my cb or just leave it alone and hope that they won't put it on my cb? I'm thinking that they must have let this item slip through by not reporting to the cb from 2002.
