Identical Fico Scores

Theoretically speaking, if the information on all three of my reports was exactly the same at a given moment, should my FICO scores also be exactly the same?

no

Each Credit Reporting Agency is a different entity and may have variations in calculating your fico score

Re: Identical Fico Scores

Huh, I was figuring that FICO, Vantage, and the various FAKOs all use a specific equation/formula to calculate a score based on your report. My thinking was that if this was the case, then the true FICO scores from all 3 CRAs should be the same if they are all reporting the exact same accounts, balances, etc. and coding them the same way.

Re: Identical Fico Scores

Credit_repair is right.  First off, throw out all the FAKO's, they are worthless and shouldn't be bothered with.  In response to FICO scores the 3 different CRA's have different models that they use for scoring, therefore the scores will never all be the same.  They can be close or even the same, but that is just a coincedence.

Re: Identical Fico Scores

The three FICOs are different because each CRA had their own preferences in what they wanted included in the score. If there's perfectly identical info, the three scores would be off, but close.
