Inquiry Question ??

I did search the forum and couldnt find my answer.....

I know that inquiries stay on a cr for two years.  Do they have the same affect on your credit the entire two years?  I somewhat remember reading that after one year, they no longer have as much of a negative affect.

An inquiry stays on your report for 2 years but it does not affect your score after 1 year.

They stay on your report for two years, but the score ding goes away after one year.

But even after 1 year that still reflects negatively for applying for new credit correct?  The creditor can still see all 8000564560456056 inqueries, right?

Inqs on the credit reports you pull directly from the credit reporting agencies will stay for two years. Inqs on reports you pull from myfico (here) stay on for only one year. Creditors really don't care about inqs more than a year old. Having a lot of inqs less than 6 months old might concern some creditors.
