I have to agree here. Revelate, you paid June 2015 and have got a green OK for his month. You haven't paid July 2015 and haven't got a green OK for that month. Not massively reassuring! It would be great if I'm just missing something here ??
I don't mean to bash either of you, but am compelled to respond: neither of you know how EX / EQ / TU report and the differences between them based on your comments. You get the OK for the prior month when it reports the next unlike EX which OK's the current month... as a result that is 2 pretty OK's, not one since last payment which is more than enough to demonstrate ain't no 31+ day late there. Also I can show both two other lenders who do the same thing, and you cannot be marked late when you are paid in advance: they can reset the due date and likely have to notify you (vis a vis DCU) but they cannot mark you late.
If you didn't trust the information presented, you shouldn't have done this anyway. Also if people had looked at it more critically, would've seen it would've reported again within the week: could've waited just a little bit instead of running over and begging Alliant for information which is in nobody's best interests here.
Whatever, do what you all want, but if you break this for everyone by stupidly poking the bear I will not be amused.

Yes, I don't know a hundreth of what you know about the subject, but from my experience with CK, it can be glitchy and not always accurate. Also, not sure why you say we don't trust here: there seems to be some new info about automatic payments, and I (and apparently a few other folks) was trying to figure out what was going on. I thought that was the whole purpose of this forum. What was true yesterday, might very well not be true tomorrow. But apparently questioning this subject was somehow offensive to you?
As for the begging and stupidly poking (a bit harsh, don't you think?) all I did was seek confirmation from Alliant that due date gets pushed forward when overpaying. Not sure how can that jeopardize things, but apologies to everyone if so.
@Anonymous wrote:Just a quick question to those that have the Alliant share secured loan. How long did it take Alliant to report the loan to the CRA's? A week, month, longer?
Thanks.
I took out mine on 8/7... today is 8/31 and loan still hasn't reported

Thanks for the clarification. It will be good to see the updated pics in about a week for the masses (me included) that don't know as much background info / can't afford to make a credit mistake.
I would much rather get my info / proof / ideas from the community here than over the phone with Alliant so there isn't actually any need to poke the bear. 🐾
This is a great thread. I think it's going to help a lot of people.

Been under some stress due to moving and all the awkwardness adjusting to sleeping in a new place brings. Mea culpa if I came off harshly; however, whenever any sort of gimmick is found, it's best not to go asking for clarification from a lender regarding it.
Yes, I can go find another lender if Alliant decides to change their policies to be more in line with DCU's; however, there were clearly posts in the thread demonstrating that paying in advance pushed the due date forward.
Credit building is a long term endeavour, while I understand our society is highly instant-gratification centric asking the lender in this case may be benign, or it may bring attention to their current policy and bring about a shift... which would suck for many people on this forum. Hence poking the bear isn't recommended; what's done is done, but I'd request not making any more inquiries to Alliant about it.

Understood, will stop the poking. And no worries, I have nothing for you but respect and appreciation for all your knowledge and help around here. Good luck on your new place!
Today my loan was finally approved (yesterday their systems were down), let's see when it will report. They used DocuSign for all the paperwork, and released the funds 10 minutes after sending the signed document. Also confirmed the due date gets pushed forward and there is no early payment penalty. Will update my thread with scores after each utilization breakpoint.

My autopayment shows as a recurring transfer with the option to Edit/Delete (in the Transfer Money top menu, Scheduled transfers to the right). I chose Alliant Checking as payment source, not sure if it is the same with external accounts.

Excellent.
You can't edit it, but you can delete it.
