Interesting score increase reason

Got an alert this morning from MyFico,  stating a 6 point increase on my EX score,  from 806 to 814.  The reason was,  an increase in my CL from Cap One from 20k to 23K.  Nothing else has changed on my report.  Utility is not a factor since I only owe about $300 on a $23K cl.  Card is only 3 months old.  Just thought I would share the facts.  Scoring never ceases to amaze me.

Scores are indeed a mystery...but congrats on your increase! You are up in the clouds where I someday aspire to be with scores.

Re: Interesting score increase reason

That wasn't the reason for the increase, it was the trigger even that caused the alert.

+1 to CAPTOOL.

OP, you posted a while ago about how you want to get to 850? I think what is happening here is, you've further settled down your file. I suggested in your "get to 850" thread that what you require is a lot more time, since there are no negatives and your utilization is already under control.

This score increase is just marking time, another month has passed on your way to 850.

Time is your friend now. Well, time is your friend regarding FICO scores. In regular life, time passes too fast... as it does eventually for all of us Smiley Happy
