Mind you, this is in the long run, as closed accounts still count in the AAoA, until they fall off of the CR. Agree with the rest of Marty's comment 100%.

No advantage other than avoidng monthly and or yearly fees. Closing any account could lower your score because your AAoA could go down. Also some CCCs wont offer you a another product if you had an account with them and closed it.

basically once you get that high, down is the only place you can go. therefore stands to reason that it would be easy to get knocked off.
