Hi all,
So as many of you know the penfed quarterly report came out with the updated fico score. Imagine my suprise when I see that I have a Fico 9 score of 800! I didnt think it was possible with my credit being new. I checked my Discover Fico 8 Transunion and it was 781. Is there a big diference the way fico 8 and 9 is calculated because inquiries and everything should be the same on my transunion and equifax. Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
OP, if it says your FICO 9 score is 800, it's 800. You said your "credit is new" - can you quantify that?
It would be cool to hear some profile data from a "new" file that's able to obtain an 800 FICO 9 score.
Based on my experian updated two days ago I have,
2 percent utilization
average account age of 1 year and 2 months
oldest real account (not AU) 2 years 5 months
no baddies
Thank you guys for confirming my score is in fact 800, wasnt sure if I was looking at it right.
Im still curious why my fico 9 is higher than 8.

Yes your EQ FICO 9 score is really 800. FICO 9 and FICO 8 are computed differently. My FICO 9's are always higher. With some folks their FICO 8's are always higher.
