Is this idea correct?

Hello!

I worked on my credit over the last year, in preparation to get a mortgage hopefully this coming summer. I know that back in May my mortgage scores were EQ 698 EX 679 TU 657 and the vantage scores around that time were EQ694 EX Unknown TY 662. This was with collections on my record etc.

Now I have since cleaned up most of my credit, all the baddies except some late payments from 2015. I now know my Vantage scores are EQ738 TU731 and my EX Fico 8 736. I also know that my Fico 2 for EX is 711. As a very rough estimate, with all 3 having the same information reported,  would it be a fair guess that my other 2 mortgage scores would likely be similar to the 711 range? I'm not looking for an exact, just trying to see if I am on the right course and I don't have the $ to pay for the full scores right now from Myfico.

Again, I know no one can say 100% what it would be, etc, but am I on the right track with my thinking in that the other scores are pretty similar to each other. or am I way off?

Re: Is this idea correct?

You can go to experian.com and get your 3 FICO scores for $1 and then cancel before the trial is up. You can see different versions also.

The EX FICO 2 is good, the others you mentioned are meaningless.

Re: Is this idea correct?

Welcome Sad

EX2 is based on a 1998 FICO model.

TU4 and EQ5 are based on a 2004 model. There are differences in how those models treat things. Plus you have CRA-specific tweaks that further affect score.

It's impossible to predict. Plus, have you combed all 3 CRs data to determine there are no differences in the data? That could also affect and cause variation. So can reporting and updating times.

Sorry I can't tell you what you wanna hear. Oh, and I don't think Experian sells TU or EQ mortgage scores.
