Hello,
I just purchased my FICO scores at the same time today-- 672 from Equifax and (gasp) 615 from Transunion. Now here's the deal...
There is a new collections account posted on Transunion only, along with a my recent inquiries from the last 12 months. Equifax doesn't have either the collections OR the inquires (from auto loan shopping). I pulled the reports on the same day and time -- is it a matter of time before my EQ score goes down too?
Now the second part of my question is this: the collections account is from an old medical bill (2006) that I disputed with an urgent care center. Long story short, I thought it was resolved that they would simply write it off. Not so -- 3 years later they decide to place it in collections. However, I spoke with the collections agency today. and they said there was a mistake and the urgent care center never wanted any of their accounts reported to the credit bureaus unless they are VERY overdue -- which mine is not b/c it was only placed there last month.
So -- how long until my credit score reflects this? Will it ever be reported to EQ? It's already reported to TU, so do I need to do anything? The collections agency said I need not do anything, and that it will be removed from the credit bureaus.
Any and all help/advice is appreciated. Thanks!
