Judgement Deleted from Experian, but score didn't change??

I had a judgement on my credit from 2012 (results of ex and I duking it out).  3 months ago I sent letters to all bureaus requesting them to delete this.  Transunion deleted it and my score jumped 40 points to 746.  Experian and Equifax failed to delete.  2 weeks ago, I sent a second letter to both Experian and Equifax.  Equifax failed to delete.  Today I just got a letter from Experian saying they deleted it.  Being so excited about the results, I checked my credit score and ordered a new report here on MyFico, to my disappointment there was absolute no change in my score.  Still at 714, with no public records showing.

I'm confused, why didn't this score go up?  Even a single point?!

Thoughts?

Just a 30 day late from 4 years 9 months ago.  That is showing on my Transunion too.  I'm perplexed about this.  Bummed a bit!

Your score may still go up. I've noticed when negatives fell off that it took a little while for the score to respond. Maybe that's the case here.

In my wallet: Quicksilver 5000; Venture 15,000; Barclay Apple Rewards 2000; CareCredit 3300; Bank of America Platinum Visa 2000; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Bank of America Travel Rewards 3500; Amazon Store Card 5000; Discover 10,000; Barclay Ring Platinum MasterCard. 12,500. Total Credit: 61,800.
6/27-FICO: EQ - 789; TU - 781; EX - 681; GOAL: 780 across the board then 800 across the board. Inquiries: EQ: 4; TU: 6; EX 7; Chapter 13 seven years May, 2015. Reset my garden date to 6/27. Gardening until further notice.

Musiclover - you have seen that happen?  The item get's removed from your report and there is a delay in the score change?

If that is the case, that is good news, or at least hopefully optimistic!  I'm sure there is no hard line in the sand for this, but I'll ask:  how long have you seen this happen?

thanks!

Re: Judgement Deleted from Experian, but score didn't change??

Others have noted that Experian sometimes seems to get "stuck", or moves vey little, while the others move a lot more.

You might pull your FICO scores from Experian via the 7 day, $1 trial offer they have through Credit Check Total. See if it matches.

Well again, thank you.  I'm hoping this goes up at least a little.  I've been researching and trying to find answers to why it didn't move at all.

Re: Judgement Deleted from Experian, but score didn't change??

How or why did they remove if the judgement was no where close to 7 year's old ??? Did you pay it in full and have the courts vacate it ??? I'm curious as I have 2 showing on my EQ and TU from 2010. EX recently deleted these and my 2007 CH 7, even though I did absolutely nothing. No dispute or requests. My EX score went up over 150 pts with these deletions. I'd be in awesome shape if I could get TU and EQ to do the same. I figured I had to wait 7 full years or close to it prior to requesting early removal.
How'd did you get this judgement removed ??? Thanks.

Re: Judgement Deleted from Experian, but score didn't change??

It was a bogus judgement to begin with, my ex was coming after me for close to $4000, I disagreed with her claims.  So long story short, she brought me to small claims, fortunately the state of California agreed with me and only awarded her with $600.  I paid this immediately.  Which that doesn't matter as it still ends up on your credit report.  So after years of trying to get the court to remove this nonsense, I started reaching out to the credit bureaus this year.  Please refer to my top post here for the rest of the story.

The point that I made with the credit bureaus, is that if I had defaulted on a credit card, my mortgage, car payment, yes that sort of judgement has every right to be on my report.  However in this case, it's a family matter.  Plus if my ex had approached me to start with factual numbers, I would have gladly paid her without having to go to court... but that isn't how things went.  I was forced to either pay her a highly inflated pulled out of her tail end $4000 or go through the legal system to have the State of California dictate & confirm, I only owed her $600 with the added bonus of me getting stuck with the ding on my credit.

I don't know if I would have done it differently if I could go back in time, either way...seems like extortion if you ask me.

So… now you can see my disappointment after all this hard work that my score didn’t increase when this was deleted.

Re: Judgement Deleted from Experian, but score didn't change??

Thank you for the clarification. Obviously your situation is completely different than the normal Creditor receiving a default judgement. This make alot more sense to me now. Thank you !!
