on EX for going from 2% to 9% util. TU stayed the same. Last day for discount.
What scoring bracket were you in as I suspect that makes a difference in how hard you were hit.
I also lost 4pts today (as compared to 2 weeks ago) on EX (haven't checked the other 2 yet). But I had a complex situation going on. Inquiries went from 1 to 3 (bad). My Util went from 10.0% to 10.8% (bad). I added a 2nd CC in Sept that just reported for the 1st time (bad and good). I had a store card that has been inactive for years wake up when I used it (good), but its maxed out at $191/200 (bad). The good news is I went from 1 active CC to 2 CC+1store card. The bad is new account, inquries, and slight Util increase.
I suspected that. IMHO I think you would get the points back by going to 9% util on the 22% card and only having 1 or 2 cards report. TU seems more interested in # cards and EX seems more interested in any util.
Its been awhile since I should any util above 1% so I am not 100% on this. To save money, I would try to get the 22% down to 9% first. if not then go for 1 card reporting.
