MC/Visa vs Store Cards

Is any more harmful to carry a higher utilization on a store card, than on a MC/Visa? For example, a Lowes card, with a 12000 CL @75% util, because I bought new appliances for my kitchen on a promo financing deal... would there be much of a difference to my score if I put the same amount on a Visa card with the same limit?  It seems as if some store cards report as a different type of credit than my MC/Visa cards do....

Could always ask for a CLI on the lowes card to lower your utilization. But 75% of a limit is 75% of a limit. I personally wouldn't be worried too much about score unless you are needing to apply for new credit anytime soon.

They're still reported as revolving tradelines and count for revolving utilization.  There's absolutely no difference there.  If it makes financial sense to drop the 8K on the Lowes card (it probably does given their financing offers) do so.
