I have a median fico score of 828 I'm 30, have 3 revolving credit cards, 1 auto loan but no home or student loan. I don't know why my score is so high.
OP, I have created a new thread for you as the one you posted this in is 8 years old. I changed the title and left everything else intact. You can change the title if you wish using the edit message function in the options menu. Welcome to My Fico
The 3 revolving credit cards + 1 installment loan is typically enough to meet the credit mix criteria. I don't know the rest of your profile but let me guess:
a) You maintain aggregate credit card utilization on all cards combined between 1% and 6%
b) Your newest credit card is at least 2 years old.
c) Your average age of account is at least 6 years old
d) You typically don't report a balance on all three cards at once.
e) You have a 5 year car loan with a solid payment history of 2 or more years.
f) Your car loan is more than 60% paid off (minimum 50%)
You have no late payments or recent hard inquiries (less than a year old) and no negative information on your credit report.
Please add details on your profile
Congratulations! Yes, tell us more about your credit profile. You are where many of us would love to be.
I'm curious to hear more about your profile too. Three questions:
(1) What is the age of your oldest account?
(2) The three credit cards and the auto loan are all open accounts... correct?
(3) Do you have any closed accounts? If so, can you give some details?
My credit score is very similar, 28, everything Thomas said is true for me.

Hefty1211, Thanks for the update.
Can you clarify one point regarding CC balances as follows:
1) Do you allow any charges to report on a monthly CC statement? If so, what typically is the % utilization ($ reporting/credit limit)
2) I always pay each statement in full every month so I don't "carry a balance". However, I do allow all charges to report on monthly summary statements and then pay total amount.
Many people pay what they charge early - so a zero or very low balance shows on a statement. Do you pay early or allow charges to show in the amount owed?
