I am on my USAA and clearly see my only collection deleted from a report pull. I also received notification from EQ item in dispute was deleted. Why is Myfico not picking this up?
What day did it delete?
No CMS out there, SW included, will alert you to a dropped account. SW will monitor your EQ FICO score for changes weekly or so, so you should get alerted provided your FICO changed and you set your target score to catch that. Congrats on the deletion!
Thank you... I started with the HIPPA method, oh god thats long winded. I called the OC asked why it was not billed correctly told them my story and they were very nice. Deleted from 2 repots 2 days later. It was my only collection so I assume I will get a bump in both EQ and TU since they were reporting it

Thank you for all the help (used your motto don't take no for an answer) I am patiently waiting for my 1 collection to come off. Next stop is this public record for a student loan I need to have deleted, vacated or whatever else I can do. After reading all the horrible storeis of the spit files I am getting worried however. I had a credit card that has not updated since October and now I am woried I will go up then right back down like others
So are you telling me i should not have disputed this item? So I can dispute an item, the OC can pull it because It was NOT at fault, my score will not improve because I disputed? There was no movement in score with the initial disputed item. Student loans derogatory marks will be there for a long time im affraid, and my score will be above 700 soon. How would a creditor see a deleted item? Am I missing something? As far as creditors, USAA loan officers will counsel one on one if you want to go over CR. I was told since Student loans are my only derogatory marks, they view those entirely different than a smorgasbord of derogatory marks not associated with job related advancement. And since they all happen in 2006 associated with a FEMA disaster any mortgage application will reflect that and income to debt becomes a greater factor than past Student loan Derog

If the deleted collection was already under dispute, you may not see a score change. Fico ignores disputed items in score calculations, so you may have gotten the bump when the dispute reported. Also, you will still be in the major derogatory bucket until the student loan negatives are gone. The good news is that actual creditors treat a dispute and a deletion very differently. So while your score may not change, your chance of approval has jumped significantly.

FICO fully scores CAs and PRs while disputed. Though FICO will ignore certain aspects of OC accounts while under dispute.
I apologize if I was incorrect. That was what my loan officer told me and matched my own experiences: when eq first reported my ca account as under dispute, my score jumped 11 pts. Nothing else had changed. When that dispute was resolved by the ca deleting the account, my score didn't budge. If my loan officer was incorrect, then I, too, am curious why a deletion of a ca account has no effect on scores.
