Mortgage Score increase

I am looking to get my mortgage scores above 640. Right now they are currently, Transunion:602 Equifax:566 Ex:558. I have a medical collection reporting 30 days late that reported in November. I also have 6 accounts in collections. 2 of them are from cable companies, another collection is a debt that I settled for less than the full balance a couple of years ago. How can I raise my Mortgage Score?, my fico 8 scores are all above 640, I have 6 cards in good standing, as well a total utilz rate of 10%.

Re: Mortgage Score increase

Credit cards:

Pay all of your cards to $0 except one.  That remaining card pay down to $10.  Continue to allow it to produce a statement with a small balance each month, and always pay the the statement balance in full, after it prints.

Collections:

Research the idea of a Pay For Delete approach.  Go to the rebuilding forum and find a mentor to help you with it.  You want to get all your collections paid AND deleted from your reports.

Any negatives that are less than 2 years old will tank your score quite a bit. Like the other poster stated, try to have those removed from your report first.

Starting Score: EQ 653 6/21/12
Current Score: EQ 817 3/10/20 - EX 820 3/13/20 - TU 825 3/03/20
