Did you just close a card with about a $20,000 credit limit?
Did you just pay almost $6,000 towards your credit cards?
At least your mortgage score only went down 2 points.

I removed my DW as AU on my Disco card that (at that time) had $5800 on $20,100 CL.
Everything that changed would have been positives in my mind, but really the only that I would have expected to affect EX 8 would have been the inquiry dropping. Since my Disco is still showing on the report as CLOSED, it doesn't affect any aging at this time.
I'm wondering if her $35k CL is also being ignored somehow on EX 8 as well as EX 2??? Doesn't make sense, because she still has the "recent revolving usage" reason code. I'm at a loss for explaining the 11 point drop in EX 8, but expected it on the EX 2.
Ok listen, yes its ignoring it on EX2 as we suspected and not even counting in # of revolvers with a balance. At least we conclusively established that.
Nominal balance on any of her national bankcards asap
Someone did notice EX2 being one day off on an inquiry, so cd be leap year wonkiness. Yes, if there are no other inquiries under 1 year, the code is gone, otherwise its at #5. Probably the point pickup.
Not weird on 8. All your AUs are at 0, right? No revolving AU penalty, works on primary accounts and AUs independently. Only affects 8, so who cares, we're concerned with mortgage scores.
Well at least you don't have to sweat BCE.

Yes, not concerned about EX 8 at the moment so really doesn't matter to us at this time... just wasn't expecting it! I've so much to learn! LOL
All accounts including AU are at $0 except for the Amex BCE at $11k and the auto loan at the reported $7k.
The inquiry is definitely not counting as it is reported as 0 inquiries in the past 12 months on one of the reports tabs.
Goal for my DW is to let a small amount report on her USB Cash+ at the end of the month and keep everything else at $0.
As for me, I think I'm scoring better than her ATM and probably don't need to do much else. I have a couple of inquiries that drop off later this month, so I'll probably pull a myFico for the both of us the first week of April.
Thanks again to you all for the assist. Will continue to update...

@Duke_Nukem What do you mean The discover is showing closed? And secondly even if it is showing closed, it still counts towards aging.
I don't think the BCE is being ignored on version 8. You said she has the recent revolving usage code. She just took the hit on 8 due to all AUs being zero.
yes as soon as any balance is posted for her she'll get the points on the EX2, as long as it's not over the exclusion threshold.
i'm glad we know now it's also excluded from the number of revolvers with a balance metric. Sorry we didn't already know that.

EX currently has the Disco AU as "Account Status - Closed" and "Responsibility - Terminated". EX still shows it in Dispute, so I'm assuming once the dispute clears it will be removed completely from her reports?
Also, I removed her as AU on my Uber card a few months ago (thinking it would help her AAoA since Uber is still not 1yo yet). It also shows as closed account status and terminated, but I haven't disputed it.
Both the Disco and Uber appear to be in the exact same state ATM as Closed and listed as "Paid, closed".
Update:
Did a 3-bureau pull on EX after my Disco reported being paid down to below 9% agg UTI (Disco is at 24% individually). That has been the only change from a week ago. Everything increased, EXCEPT EX 2 remained at 714. Uggghhhhh...
EX 8 went up 2, now at 725.
EQ 8 went up 2, now at 753.
TU 8 went up 5, now at 745.
Auto EX 2 went up 7, now at 735.
Auto EX 8 went up 2, now at 752.
Bankcard EX 2 went up 12, now at 739.
Bankcard EX 3 went up 2, now at 719.
Bankcard EX 8 went up 2, now at 733.
I do see that my EQ has a couple of extra closed TL's that pad my AAoA. EX and TU both show AAoA at 5y 11m, so maybe next month I get a bit of a boost hitting 6y AAoA?
Also, both EX and TU will have 1 inquiry each dropping off at the end of the month so there is still a bit of hope for a small increase on my mortgage scores.
