My HP on EX aged to 365 days today, and my EX2 jumped from 714 to 720! Woohoo, progress! ![]()
EX2 no longer shows "Seeking Credit" as a negative reason code.
EX is mine and DW's lowest Fico 8 score, so I'm hoping EX is also the lowest mortgage scores between the CRA's. Will probably pull the mortgage scores for all 3 next weekend.
For DP's, EX8 only gained 1 pt with the HP aging 1y, moving from 725 to 726.
Paid DW's USB Cash+ this month, and it is currently showing a $11 balance. That should report on 3/31 and should have some score updates for her account a couple of days later.
@Duke_NukemI don’t know how I missed this. But I see it now. Let me ask you a question was there a balance on either one of your cards that she is AU on? If not, I may know the reason for the nose dive. When all AU accounts report zero, there is all zero penalty just like when all primary accounts report zero, but I don’t think you can get 2 all zero penalties at the same time, so at that time were all her primaries zero as well? No she had one balance and we were talking about one more so she had a balance on a primary right? All the AUs were zero right? If so, that was the reason for the nose dive on version 8.
Besides that what happened with the update? I definitely wanna know what happened!
Congratulations on the bump on EX2 as well!!

@Anonymous I need to follow up with an update, don't I... I'm running behind! ![]()
One AU had a balance (my Disco) and was open; and the other AU had a $0 balance but was listed as Closed (was previously removed as AU but stayed on the EX report until disputed). When the Disco was removed as AU and disputed, EX changed it's balance to $0 and moved it to Closed. So both AU's reported a $0 balance and both shown as Closed.
She had only her 1 card (Amex) with a balance during March. US Bank didn't report until 4/3 with a $11 balance (so now 2 cards with a balance). Both disputed AU's were completely removed from her EX report by end of March. Having USB report with a balance worked! So EX2 does ignore the $35k CL of the Amex.
With all that's going on in the mortgage world and my wife's date to return to work being pushed further out every other week, I have kind of put the mortgage on the back burner. And then this little credit union named AOD appeared with a magical 3% CB card... my DW apped for membership and acquired the card. YAY!
Figured I alone will app for the mortgage a little bit later, but I need to work on reducing my Disco balance and/or pay off one of the auto loans (reduce my DTI). I have seen good results on my Fico 8 scores and my EX2. Still haven't pulled a 3B mortgage score yet.
My DW's AOD card app used EQ5 mortgage score, and it revealed a 709 EQ5.
@Duke_NukemThat’s what I’m talking about that worked out great.
Now here’s the deal, she’s still an AU on your QS and CareCredit correct? Those were reporting zero correct? That was the reason for the nosedive. Discover had a balance and when it was removed, all of her AU accounts reported zero. This caused the all zero AU penalty on version 8, causing the nosedive, IMHO.

Oh wow, now I see what you are saying. Yes, my QS and Care Credit are both at $0 so removing Disco gave her that penalty. Weird. Thanks for pointing that out!
As another data point, yesterday my DW went on an app spree (why not since already stepped out of the garden with the AOD app?). She went for a Disco of her own, since it was our "go-to" card last year with the double cash back and she loved her card image (the beach scene with the swaying coconut tree). Disco pulled EX (only 1 HP showing from 13 months ago).
For me, I'm making plans to pay my Disco off by June (0% ends at that time) and possibly the one auto loan (the other has a 2.69% rate, so not touching it). Will probably revisit the mortgage app around the July timeframe...
@Duke_Nukem Cool, sounds like a plan and I’m glad we figured out that nosedive, it had me scratching my head for a minute.
How is your EX2 now? Forgive me if I missed it, I was focused on DW's profile and I may have missed that update.
Not sure if I posted my EX2 after updating. It was at 720 around 4/7, and probably still there as there's nothing changing with my reports until mid May.
