Since July 22nd I can not move the sticks on my TU 8 score, it seems to be stuck at 672. It's been 3.5 months and it stays right there. My Eq 8 (683) and Ex 8(679) are trending up but I'm now convinced that if I payed everything off my TU would still be 672😂. It's got be that darned Care Credit and getting old😅. My utilization across the board is 27% but my Care Credit uti is almost 50% so I'm guessing that's the culprit. I haven't had a late payment in almost 7 years but do have an 3.5 year collection showing. If my mortgage reported, I would guess my scores would be much higher and that would move the sticks.

50% utilization on an individual account does get you a penalty. So when you reduce that you might see some improvement.
Your across the board utilization of 27% is also costing you plenty of points, as is your collection. (BTW I'm not sure how you could have a collection without a late payment.)

You are correct I have a habit of thinking of them as a separate entity. A late is a late.
