It's strange how my EX FICO 2 is locked into toggling between 2 scores 11 points apart... 708 and 719.
There's no middle ground.
Every time the number of accounts with balances drops to 12 I go up to 719. Every time it goes above 12 I go down to 708.
Today I was suprised to see it drop from 719 to 708, since I thought I had 12 or less reporting today.
But the monkeys at Discover decided to issue me a refund before charging me interest, so that I wound up with an $18 balance
What percentage threshold is being crossed when moving from 12 --> 13? Have you found any other number of accounts with balances thresholds either above or below that point and if so, was the swing greater/less than the 11 points you're seeing at your current threshold point?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I had been thinking 40% was the magic number but it's not. These were both under 40%. It went from 35.xx% to 38.xx%.

It's gone up to 14, and I believe 15, but there was no point movement. Similarly I think it's gone down to 10, again with no point movement.
When I had less than 10, it was before my daily experian.com monitoring.
Today my 11 points came back when the number of accounts with balance dropped from 13 to 11.
SJ, any chance at some point you'll be taking your number of accounts with balances to a significantly higher or lower (say, 18 or 5, for example) in order to see if you find any other drop/gain points?

Yes. I'm trying to get it lower, hoping to get it down to 5 in the short term (4 revolvers +1 installment), 2 in the long term (1 revolver + 1 installment). But I don't know whether I'll accomplish either of those objectives.
