I recently ordered my 3 FICO scores and they have not moved an inch in the past 3 months. I have only 1 credit card active and utilize 9-10% of my limit then PIF every month, only after knowing the balance has been reported. Why hasn't my score moved? Do I need to have more cards active? Am I tapped out at the highest I can go for each report because I only have 1 CC active? I would like to get to the 700 club but seem to be running in place right now.
TU - 672
EQ - 684
EX - 691
(All unchanged since 09/08).
If that CC balance remains in check, the only thing that would positively impact your score is an anniversary of a recent baddie (or removal of), the anniv. of your CC, or a whole number change in your AAoA.
IMO, you would benefit in the long-run (not short-term) by adding a store CC and/or another revolving. Is there anything that can be repaired?

What is AAoA?
I'm also still trying to get rid of Midland (been working on this for months). They are reporting as a collection on TU, and open account on EQ. They are suppedly due to fall off in 11/2009.
AAoA = avg. age of accounts (plays a big part in your score). If you look at your FICO report on page 2 or 3, it will list things that are helping or hurting. It will always display the AAoA as a whole number. If low now, then going from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 will increase your score. Of course it changes 1x per year assuming nothing is added or removed.
MCM is tough I hear. I bet you'll see large gains with it removed.
