My Score Never seems to go up

My current Score is 629.  It was sitting at 605 for almost a year.  It at one point went up when I opened up a card and had it for a year to 630.  I disputed something and then it went down to 605 again.  It came back up when something dropped off.  Anyway, it never seems to go past 630.  I am afraid if I breath it will go down again.  How long does it take to get back to normal and a decent score.  What is a score that is good enough to not worry about credit and denials?  What cards are easy to get to help with the score and balance?  Any advice will help.  Very frustrated  Smiley Sad

Thanks,

Re: My Score Never seems to go up

To best answer your questions, we need to know what your credit files look like.

How many accounts open/closed.  What is your AAoA. CLs. derogs? COs?

Get around 680 for 1/2 decent rates. 720+ w/ clean history and you'll get pretty optimal rates on w/e you want.

5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
12/2014: 750+
3/2017: 780+
11/2019: 833
2/2023: Experian via Chase United Explorer CC pull - 891

Re: My Score Never seems to go up

Sorry, I am not sure I understand all the terminology yet  Smiley Happy

i have one retail walmart card open for 7 months only a $200 limit one time

1 capital one Secure card $1400 limit and one time.

I have a car loan that is co signed and that is 4 years old one time.

Every thing I use I try to keep a low balance and not exceed 20 to 30 % of my limit

I have one paid judgement.  5 collection accounts that are due to come off in the next 2 years.

How fast can a score move up and how significantly?

Thanks for everyone's help.

Re: My Score Never seems to go up

Also, if someone that has really good credit already has a store / retail card and they add me on their account, will that require a credit check, and will that help ?
