I recently signed up for the myFICO Premier service while also having an active account through Experian. Can anyone help me understand why my FICO 8 score on MyFICO(Experian) is 40 points lower than the FICO 8 shown on the Experian site? I was under the impression that the myFICO score would refresh when Experian updated their score. (It was updated a week and a half ago). I thought having access to all 3 through myFICO would be my best option, but if it's not accurate it seems to be a waste of $.

myFICO won't update as promptly as Experian's service will
only certain 'events' prompt myFICO to trigger an update for your score, and it'll be well behind Experian's website/service

There is a time lag. But both a 1 1/2 week lag and a 40-point difference, are unusual in my experience.

Have to agree with @SouthJamaica that the 40 point difference is very unusual. Do you happen to have Experian boost enabled? If so this could possibly explain the discrepancy in your scores.
Thank you for the responses. Yes, I do have a boost that led to +19 points, but good to know the inner workings of lag time etc. I'll be mindful of that in the future.
