@Anonymous wrote:Good afternoon,
Here's an update on my credit reports.
As of today, Currently my Fico 8 scores are:
657-Equifax, 589-Transunion, 675-Experian
Mortgage scores are:
615-Equifax, 624-Transunion, 615-Experian
Old Scores
Fico 8 scores are:
641-Equifax, 583-Transunion, 646-Experian
Mortgage scores are:
606-Equifax, 613-Transunion, 606-Experian
I got a dispute back a couple of days ago from Equifax stating my active Capital One card that has a $750 limit got deleted. One dispute is still pending and it was suppose to be done back on March 31st. I typed a letter and attached the Equifax dispute to send out to Capital One's Dispute department. Will take up to two weeks for a response. Not sure what else to do as far as getting my scores up. I did the AZEO and it definitely helped raise my scores but still not where I want to be. Requirements are changing anyways for mortgages so it's looking like I would need a middle score of at least 640 anyways. Do you think Equifax deleting my two capital one cards played a major factor in having a better credit score than what I currently have now? @AllZero
@Anonymous Refresh my member again, did you do any disputes on TransUnion as well? Your EQ scores has risen but your TransUnion scores have lowered.
I've also read in the mortgage sub forum that lenders have raised the MMS Middle Mortgage Score requirement.
What other derogatories or delinquencies are remaining on your credit report? Since you're optimized doing AZEO, your next course of action would be tackling any of the negatives.
For my transunion, I disputed two cards that were c/o from years ago. It got removed from my report. I have a c/o from Verizon from 2 years ago that only shows on my transunion and experian. Tried to dispute that and they wouldn't take it off. Have a comcast c/o as well and disputed to all 3 bureaus. Was able to get it off experian but not the other two. I had 6 late payments last year from my student loans which I know definitely took a hit on my score. @AllZero

For the Verizon Charge Offs - is it updating monthly on TransUnion and Experian? Have you paid or settled the debt?
For the Comcast Charge Off - I reread your post. You stated it was paid in full. It's not updating any more correct? When was the last update? You need time to allow this account to age.
Yes, those student loans lates are hurting you if they are within 2 years. Once you reach 2 years the impact may fade slightly. They'll still suppress your scores the entire time they are on your reports. I'm not familiar with student loans. I would recommend going to that sub forum to seek advise on how to address the removal or good will.
The verizon c/o are reporting as Paid. Hasn't been updated since 2018. The Comcast one is reporting as paid as well and is not updating anymore. I wrote a email to the student loans that were late since nobody is in the office because of this coronavirus. Still waiting for a reply and probably won't get one no time soon since I'm sure they are full with emails. Probably will try sending an actual letter to see if I can get a quicker response. I know the requirements for the middle score for a mortgage did go up so might be going another route where the mortgage is under my wife's name for now until we can refinance. @AllZero

That's good on the charge offs. If all have been paid, let it age. More time that has passed the better. Keep on doing the Good Will letters.
For the student loan lates, keep on with the Good Will letters too. I understand it can be frustrating, especially during this situation.
If your DW has better MMS, decent income and low DTI, it might an option if you aren't able to get your scores up in the time required.
Would me being added onto my wife's helzberg credit card as a authorize user help boost my scores? My credit utlization right now is only 1% or would it hurt it because the utlization on the helzberg card is 12% right now but had a 3500 limit. @AllZero
Unlikely that it'll help you.

@Anonymous I agree with @Anonymous . You have enough revolving accounts. You just need more time for the most recent derogatory to age some.
Some great news to share. So I went and became an authorized user on my wife's Helzberg account and my mortgage score on my Experian account bumped up 37 points! It went from 615-653! The Helzberg account is not reflecting my Equifax and Transunion yet so hopefully I get the bump I need to get to 640 middle score since the guidelines changed for that credit score for a mortgage. @AllZero
