Need some advice

I have a limited credit history. I'm 20 years old and have 1 credit card. It's a capital One card and I've had it for a year and a half, I've never been late. I was just approved for a HSBC card for  $750.

I had one medical collection that was an insurance mistake that was removed so my FICO went up from 612 to 673.

I really want to build my credit and have a few cards so I can keep my utilization low on each.

What are some good cards to help build credit and will approve me? Will I still be denied for limited credit history??

I have no delinquencies now, any advice would be great!

Re: Need some advice

You now have two credit cards.  Why do you want another?  Another revolving TL will not help your creidt mix or your lengtht of credit history.  Sure, it will give you a marginally higher revolv CL, but it appears that you are already keeping your %util  low, so I dont see much advantage there.  It might be more profitable at your age to cjonsider getting an install loan (maybe a car?) to improve your credit mix.  Or maybe seek a higher CL on your existing card, thus givnig you a little more margin should you make a rpurchase that might drive your %util up.  A higher CL gives you this flexibility.  A new, low CL card does not.  Sure,, an install loan might reduce your FICO in the short term by adding install loan %util that you dont have now, but might be a better longer term plan.
