Dozens of times. On the phone. Via online portal. Via certified mail. I've copied my attorney general, their attorney general (Virginia), CPFB, everything. On the phone, Equifax just says, "We've verified it with the original creditor." I ask how they did that and they just get all tripped up. They just send it over electronically and it comes back as verified. You ask to speak to a supervisor and "no supervisor is available." On and on and on. I've probably invested over 100 hours fighting it. I spent $125 having the bank pull old transactions to try to fight this $87 that was paid and never late. See photos below.

I think you need to start a separate thread on that and seek comment from @RobertEG. He is the most knowledgeable on those matters that I know. I would start a thread, supply all the information and history and then send him a message and ask him if he would be kind enough to review it.

If I recall correctly they only verify the first time, and after that it’s kind of like a rubberstamp unless you do certain things. He can guide you best.
