New CC reports and my score goes up 22 points?

I thought it was supposed to drop my score...

My EQ score went from 722 -> 744 when my Discover card reported. MyFICO updates doesn't show the limit on there. Just the balance of $55.

I wonder what will happen when the other three cards in my signature start reporting...

It can go various ways. It hurts your AAoA but helps your utilization. It depends on the data. and you might find that it boosts 1 score, but lowers the other 2. or it might help 1 hurt 1 and do absolutely nothing to the 3rd.

A $500 limit card can make that much of a difference? The other reporting card is an AU with a $15k CL.

Your first 3 cards in your name typically cause a Fico score boost thats why you got the increase.

Re: New CC reports and my score goes up 22 points?

The AU card doesn't help like it used to. I got boosts when each of my 5 cards hit last year, (they were the first credit cards I had ever had). None started with a CL above 1k. I got a boost with each month of payments (and getting rid of baddies). I've leveled out recently after about 9months. Scores have steadily held at approx 725 TU and 750 EQ and EX. The difference seems to be in the way my one share secured loan reports, for some reason TU shows it as revolving (I would try to get it fixed but it was PIF as of April 1).

My 04 scores are more consistent between 700-715.
