If it can go on your CRs and hurt your FICOs should you default, then they should be required to put it on your CRs and help your FICOs while the the debt is good.

Interesting ... I just got an email from AmEx, soliciting me to add AUs to my Blue card.  They don't refer to them as AUs; instead they invite (encourage) you to add additional cards.  Caveat: the AU must have an absolutely clean history with AmEx (no defaults) and you (card holder) can't be in default either.

Yeah, DW tried to add me, but with an AMEX default in my past I'm the Anti-Christ. I believe AMEX is the one with what might be termed an "Advanced AU Agreement" to sign, which in effect makes the AU liable for the debt should the card go into default.
