New credit Lower Score??

When I first started here I had no open credit except for an older car loan. When I added my first 3-4 CCs, I saw a gain. Adding CCs #5-20 or so resulted in a loss of 20-25 on avg. I've found that most of the points have returned inside of 6 months and the remainder by one year, assuming I didn't open anything new from that point going forward.

ETA...it is a YMMV thing too based on scoring bucket, credit profile, mix of credit, util changes, AAoA changes, and so on.

I'm not so much worried about Aaoa as mine is only a few yrs anyway. I just wanted to make sure that establishing a loan wouldn't hurt to bad
