New to me MyFico Alert

First time that I ever saw this alert come across.

"An account that has been inactive for more than 4 months has become recently active."

Date of last activity 05-01-17 - 09-01-17

yes, I got my QS out of the sock drawer this month. What surprised me was I got a 4 point increase with this alert from EQ.. I know, could of been a coincident, but my EQ has been pretty stable the last few months.

Just found this interesting and I never read about this type of alert on here.......

The 4 point increase was definitely coincidental.  Did the card report a balance?  The only time 1 card additional card reporting a balance would increase your score is if you previously had 0 cards reporting balances and moved to 1 reporting a balance, but that score increase would be more to the tune of 15-20 points, not just 4.

Re: New to me MyFico Alert

Thank you. I only had one of my Amex cards reporting 20 dollars. Paid in full C1 before it cut. Your probably right Brutal. Gave us something to talk about though.

It's a configurable trigger on EQ specifically.

Inactive tradelines, if they exist, take a lot longer to manifest than the 3 months which I think is the default for the Scorewatch product.
