Next step in building my credit score ?

Here, I come back to you today to take your advice. I recap my story: I am a new immigrant to the USA, I work on my credit score since April 2017. I had a freedom chase card with a limit of $ 2800 (card age is 9 months) (was $ 1400 last week) also I have a capitalone card with a $ 600 limit. my credit score 692 TR 702 EQ and 690 Experian. I would like to have your advice for the next step. should I look for another credit card? or try to take a loan auto since I do not have a car yet? the only thing that is bad in my story is during July and August I did a lot of hard inquiries so I already have 12 inquiries in the 3 offices. do you think it's a bad thing afterwards?

I think that this belongs in the FICO scoring subforum... but anyways.

The inquires aren't particularly good, but they will go away after two years, and aren't neccesarily bad either. However having a large number of INQs in a short period of time might hurt your chances of getting new credit for a while. I would suggest letting those INQs age to 6 months before doing anything.

Also, I wouldn't get a car loan unless you actually need a car. There is no reason to get into extra debt just to build your credit. If you need a car, then it might be a different story.

I would personally let the cards you have age, and apply for a new CC in April when you hit one year of history. You are already off to a great start with the freedom. Good luck!

Set yourself up with an Alliant Share Secure Loan, this will give your score a bump by adding installment loan to your credit mix. After the score bump, check varies creditor's pre-qualifying sites, after obtaining a credit card or two, garden.
