mine did that too with EX , went from 14 to 0 on my CSP. The same balance decrese netted me 4 points each on TU and EQ , the oddities of fico scoring at its finest :-)
...balance changes are reflected in your CRA data ...FICO scoring does not look at specific balances (other than zero) but rather at ratios of utilization of available credit lines ...thus a balance change in your CRA data may well not result in a FICO score change because it didn't move you in/out of a FICO determined utilization bracket ...hth

Was this decrease on an installment loan or a credit card?
Paying down installments loans will have little effect on scoring while paying down/paying off revolving credit can help as your utilization also goes down.
It was for a credit card, decreased 88 dollars, leaving a 45.00 balance for a 300.00 limit.
...your CC utilization went from ~30% to 15% ...you'll probably need to get it between 3-9% to see a score increase
What is your entire list of credit cards, limits and balances on each?
+1 that this change is probably not sufficient to move the needle on a credit score.
