Have you heard the expression "Understanding FICO scoring is an oxymoron"?

TU likes me to only report 3 valances so with a mortgage and car payment, that doesnt leave much room for the use of credit which is okay with me.  My TU report also gives me a positive for only having 3 balances reporting.

Hi Lel--

When I realized that this balance was going to appear on my reports, I originally thought it was going to lower my score.  The charge posted on this particular account right on my closing date.  I tried, but could not pay the balance before the statement closed.  I was certain that given I had an additional account showing a balance, it was going to have a negative impact on my scores.  I was wrong. 

You are very correct--FICO can sometimes be very unpredictable.
