As I understand it, it means you are a mixed file: namely, there's varying information (like two social security numbers and everything else identical, or same social security number and slightly different name) that they've investigated and aren't merging with the alternate information. It's a manual report notation by one of their agents.
I would call them and see if it can be resolved after a careful reading of the report to make certain what's there is supposed to be there.
thanks will do a bit disconcerting. my father is Sr. I wonder if that has an impact. does this hurt my score? it only appears on Tu?

Doesn't to my knowledge, doesn't make any sense even that it would. Sr. at same address could be throwing it. Hard to say without calling in and asking what's up.
I will, if they are open tomorrow. I am in special handling for other reasons, unrelated to credit. She is nice, I never have inquired

as to what that means. But again my Transunion has always been flawless. So, I will certainly ascertain why. I am sure on analyst reviews they see this, and must throw some caution. Though it has not got me declined. But my TU is 789 and I cant seem to get past it.
Annotation is not hurting your score. The file is not mixed. If it was mixed you should see accounts that do not belong to you. The notation is there to prevent the problem of a mixed file. I would suggest that every time you apply for creidt you use the generation code IE JR II or whatever is correct. Also make sure your creditors also know and report your credit using your generation code. This suggestion plus what Trans Union has will help prevent the problem of a mixed file.
I wonder why Transunion is the only CRA motoring and preventing it. No mention on experian or equifax. Thank you will do
All the bureaus have the do not combine. Not sure / dont remember if thye have a message that shows on a credit report or not.
Perhaps internally, but not when I have requested my reports for inspection. Under special messages TU only list such information.
