I pulled my TC TU change report today and it looked like TU had managed to lose both of my remaining lates. So I pulled my report/score from transunioncs. (Which was technically problematic for the first time ever. I did have to call TU and have them unlock my account mid-transaction. TU does not like giving me reports! I cannot pull TU here at all. TU returns a code to myFICO that says I live in a correctional facility!) The transunioncs report showed no lates, but the score computes one late on one account. The presented negatives are reporting lates = 1 and too many accounts with balances (which I have already fixed prior to today by PIFing an account).. UTIL = 8%, mostly low interest BT's.
Dropping that late, lowering the number of accounts reporting lates to one and lowering UTIL from 9% to 8% bumped my score by 18 points to:
749!
I pulled the TC TU change report today and noticed I have on more account reporting zero balance. So I pulled my TU FICO again and:
I lost one of the negative reasons - now down to one only (evidence of one late, even though TL's show no lates)
UTIL = 8%
Oldest account = 10 y 6 m
AAoA = 4 y
754!
Oh so closer!!
Well I recently got a SW update and my EQ score finally showed signs of life and increased from 707 to 724. I couldn't exactly figure out why - it doubt it was an account anniversary of consequence and I don't think my AAoA increased. My data on TU is a little different and I thought maybe since I had the score increase on EQ there might be movement so I decided to pull the TU FICO report again. New stuff:
My negative reason changed from "You have missed payments on your credit accounts" to "You have too many credit accounts", which translates as: "You really don't have anything bad and this is the best we could come up with".
UTIL = 8%
Oldest Account = 10 y 10 m
AAoA = 4 y 10 m (my calculation)
755!
I wonder if the change in the reported negative reason indicates I was rebucked.
Maybe in a few months when my TU AAoA rolls over 5 years I will finally get this score pushed into High Achiever turf!

Hi CWCID...how many accounts are you showing on your TU report? I now have about 30 accounts on TU. My school loans keep transferring, causing closed accounts and new accounts, all at one time...but they all count as accounts. I'm curious whether or not I'll get this comment next time around.
Total reporting TU TL's = 10, open = 9.
It's really not a problem. In fact it is good. It indicates that there is nothing else worse going on.
