Only 24 points away

From a perfect score of 850 on EQ.  I wonder if I will ever see it.  I got a 5 point bump today.  No more cards or inquiries as I am on a mission now.  MVV is my hero with 850 scores across the board.  If I can get just one 850 score I will be doing back flips,  even at my age.  Smiley Very Happy

Hey HR!!

It seems to definitely be easier to get to 850 under FICO 8.

I'm confident you'll make it.

Total CL's  are $123K  and I owe only about $400.  So,  util is basically  0%.

Hi there MVV,

I hope you are right.  It has been a long road so far trying to get there.

Wow, really, $400?

Ok, then I'm going to hazard a guess that this is going to take a while. My theory on getting to 850 is that it must include reducing borrowing to near zero, so that your risk of default is, literally, zero. If you are already there with utilization, then only time and payment history remains to complete this. Then the question becomes, how much time?

How long have you been at your current scores? What were they 12 months ago, for comparison?
