Re: 800 Club

Hi Mr_Grino:

Having all 3 scores in the 800's, you're definitely an 800-club member!

Congratulations on your fantastic scores!

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Update:  new scores:  EQ: 804  TU: 785  EX was: 804 (2/13/09).  no major changes except for TU went up 10 pts - same 1% utl - no baddies - clean history.

I just can't seem to get my TU score to break the 800 barrier. what's up with that?

Hi,

as of 02/13/09 my scores are EQ: 804 EX 804 TU 775.  I have a clean cr  no baddies very low util. but for some reason, my TU scores are always the lowest - I don't understand it - they all have the same info reporting. at first I thought maybe because of the amex charge card. then I let the card report zero and checked my scores. even with the amex reporting zero and my util at 1%, my TU scores are still the lowest.

Hi Max09!

Does screen 2 ("Understanding Your FICO Score" ) on your TU report give you any insights about what might be affecting your score?

Regardless, you have tremendous scores.  Congratulations!

Hi psychic!

yest it says "You have a short revolving history. Your oldest account is 14 years old"

funny EQ and EX have the same data and it doesn't seem to hurt my scores as much. I don't get it. Is there such a big difference in how CBs use the same data?

Obviously, TU perceives 14 years as a short revolving history, since no other explanation was offered.  Many don't take some of TU's comments seriously.   It appears that the only thing you can do to please TU is to sit back, and let your revolving history age!

It also might be short AAoA compared to long history.

I have a long history (19+ years) and short AAoA (4 years.) I get lots of snotty comments about this! Smiley Very Happy

I opened a new Discover accnt 8 months ago. funny thing is my TU scores went up when the new TL showed up. As soon as the new accnt started showing a less than 1% balance, the TU scores went down.  I guess I just have to sit and waited it out.

I just pulled my EQ FICO = 812.

I noticed my FICO score moves 20 to 30 points depending on my CC balances. However, I use the cards for convenience and perks and pay them off each month. This seems to be a flaw in the score. Apparently it is totally unaware whether you carry a balance beyond the 30 day grace.
