Congrat sarge12! You will definitely hit max on all of them soon.

Not likely, I only have 2 installment loans, one is my mortgage, the other a car loan I financed for my Niece. The car loan pays off in April, the mortage in January. That will leave me with only credit cards, so my scores will drop significantly with no installment loans in the mix. It is not worth taking out an un-needed loan to prevent a drop. I suspect all of them will drop below 800. My days in the 800 club are numbered.

@sarge12 Your scores won't necessarily drop below 800. My fiancé doesn't currently have any loans and he's still in the 800s. Although he did hit 850 right before he paid off his last loan a few months back. He was in the sweet spot of < 8.9% on the loan.

That might be the case, because truth is, I have no idea what the effect of having no installment debt will have on my profile. I won't be surprised if it causes 30-40 point drop across the board. It is not like such a drop would really hurt my ability to get approval for most debt. About the only thing a drop to 780 would harm is bragging rights. Based on how slow my scores change, I am fairly sure that I will not reach 850 on any fico 08, or fico 09 scores before the drop though. I think a perfect 850 will just be barely out of reach. These scores have been over 800 a long time.
@Anonymous congratulations.
Few folks of any age have PICE (patience, interest, commitment, execution) to gather knowlege and get better. At the beginning of one's credit journey, the lessons seem hard, but get easier with time. Most people choose easy now, and only later learn how hard they have it.
Regarding credit:
-Being on these boards sets you in the top 5% for credit awareness.
-Being on these board at age 28 with a high score and being PICE about credit will help you immensely throughout life.
I applaud your efforts. Achieving and maintaing a high credit scores requires it. Nice work.

All 3 scores at 800. 350K of credit lines, new mortgage. Expect 850 X 3 in 18 months.

The myfico forum is surely the best rescource for learning what goes into the fico score, and what you can do to improve it. It is not perfect, but it is the best method of improving scores I know of.
My credit scores are 797/796.
How much point improvement can I expect when my AAOA reach two years?
So close to 800!
