EQ 802 as of 11/29/11

TU 795 as of 11/27/11

EX 786 as of 10/02/11 (provided by AmEx  in a congrats letter) I have 790 in my Siggy, this is just a guess because my EQ went up 9 points and my TU went up 5 points when my AmEx BCP backdated to 91 hit my reports a few days ago, so I can only imagine my EX went up by at least 4 points as well, not to mention 2 inq's have hit the year mark since 10/02/11 when AmEx sent me that letter, my EX Fico could be even a bit higher than what's in my sig, I went on the conservative side only adding 4 points to it.

But yeah, its nice to be in the High Achievers Club, I came a long way in a reasonably short period of time, the key for me, was finding this site when I did, what I have learned from this site and a few erroneous negative TL's removed from my reports is the reason I'm consistently bringing my scores up.

Thanks MyFico, and all of you who contribute to this site, without you, we would all be searching for answers elsewhere, and there is no other Forum that can provide you with the information MyFico can.

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

I did not think I would be posting here for at least another year or two, but I pulled my EQ FICO today and it showed as 773! I also pulled TU even though I know it is using the older TU98 model but I was curious, and it showed as 766.

Last October I had pulled my EQ FICO and was pleasantly shocked to see it at 738 in spite of 1) a new ING LOC opened just the month prior, and 2) a total of 8 accounts reporting a balance. The report I pulled today had everything essentially showing the same but with only 3 accounts reporting, and I gained a whopping 35 points because of that? Absolutely incredible. The total revolving balances on my 738 report and the 773 report were about the same: $498 showing on the 738 report, and $480 showing on the 773 report.

A paid-off student loan, an open auto loan, and revolving credit are essentially all I have on my reports. Oldest account opened 5 years 5 months ago, AAoA of 3 years.

Starting Score: EQ 773, TU 766
Current Score (2/25/2017): EX 813, EQ 823, TU 818
Goal Score: 800

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

I didn't think I would ever be here-  Scores are TU 778 and EQ 770.  I remember in July of 2008 I needed a vehicle.  I went to my cu and they denied me, I had a credit score of 598.  I was really embarrassed.  I had lates, collections, It was bad.   So my husband cosigned and I got the loan at 12.5%.  After a year I was able to refinance and have the car put in my name only for 5% interest.  It was a ton of work.  Letters, phone calls, GW begging,  reading almost every post on these forums.  I am geared up for 800 in 2013.  Not sure if I will get there but I am sure as heck happy that I made it this far.  Whenever I hear someone say that they have bad credit I give them the name of this web site.   I am grateful for the education that I have received here.

Good for you, Morgan.  It's very satisfying to know that one's diligent efforts pay off.

I was fortunate in that my folks always paid their bills on time and saved any extra monies, lessons I learned well from those role models.  I have found, however, for many folks (including some family members) this saying applies:  "too soon old, too late smart."   Stick with it, and you'll get your 800s.

Re: Our Forums' FICO High Achievers: Who has at least one FICO Score of 760 or above?

Thanks Lily.  I think for me growing up- for the most part if my parents didn't have cash for it they didn't buy it.  My father died when I was very young and my mom struggled to raise me and my sisters.    So she didn't have anything to save.

I certainly didn't know much about the credit stuff until I found this site.   My fico is the most education that I have had when it comes to finances.  And yes I wish it had been sooner.

Morgan, If you're interested in learning more about finances beyond myfico, check out any of Suze Orman's works.  Since my divorce in 1988, lacking any external financial advice about my future, I turned to her words of wisdom and have done very well for myself.  She has her 'naysayers' but, she speaks truth, from experience, and never minces words,  which is all I ask.  Works for me.
